Russian author and philosopher, Fyodor Dostoevsky is well known for his substantial work which is Crime and Punishment. It was first published in the year 1866 in the conservative journal The Russian Messenger, in twelve monthly installments. Dostoevsky elaborated and interpreted several social, physical, mental conditions which he supposed to influence devil in a human being. No wonder, crime existing in a world is a topic to debate to ponder upon. Raskolnikov was a law student who tried harder to commit the perfect murder of the old female pawnbroker. He assumed he will able to improve the financial condition of his own and to prove that he belonged to a lot of men not subject to predictable morals. After committing to follow the path of great men such as Napoleon Bonaparte, he set an opinion to chase his goal by any mean which may be legal or illegal .
